Millennials are the most in demand work force. Employers have devised many a ways to attract them and an innovative office space seems to be one of the requirements. Also with many mil-lennials taking leadership positions, the change from the traditional office environment to a modern urban office space has picked up pace. The headquarters of top tech companies like Google and Facebook are a sight to behold. They are also constantly in the process of becoming new and better. Google’s ‘landscraper’ London Headquarters will definitely take your breath away. And so will ‘Apple Park’, the company new 175-acre development.
India isn’t that far behind either. Here’s looking at some of the best and most innovative office spaces in the country.
The Mysore campus is spread over 350 acres and it is a proud testament to the company’s val-ues and soaring ambitions. Its centrepiece is a yellow structure which draws inspiration from Greco-Roman architecture. Used as a training centre for new recruits, the campus also has its own four-screen multiplex in a futuristic grey-black dome with pyramidical structures that jut out in all directions. The campus also houses a grand library, two food courts that can hold thou-sands of people at once, a full size racing track, badminton courts, gyms, bowling alley, swim-ming pool and so on.
Designed by Uruguayan architectural firm Carlos Ott, this campus can house 30,000 staff. Among the largest IT offices in India, the butterfly shaped office comprises of 6 building on each side. The building uses advanced solar control glasses which are energy efficient and has ther-mal insulation properties. The central spine is designed as an area for relaxation with water bo-dies, palm trees and landscaping.
Adobe’s Photoshop makes everything look beautiful and its office justifies the product. One of the most colourful buildings in the country, the design has kept in mind Adobe’s international brand colours and have taken a contemporary approach to it. The 2,00,000 sq feet building complete with innovative designs, abstract structural facades, bright colour schemes are very much in tune with the fun, vibrant work atmosphere within. It is a convenient, comfortable and no-frills space for working with the latest in technology. The furniture is emphasised and ac-cented with strong bright colours and the vibrant Cafeteria can hold a large number of people.
The different blocks of this building seem to jut out like petals and this complex has a floor space of over 144,000 sq feet. Part of the Bagmane Tech Park, this building accommodates more than 1,500 employees. It is an architectural marvel and also has adopted measures for energy saving such as provisions for natural light and so on.
