With an aim to simplify large group communication for Indian organisations, Microsoft officially unveiled Kaizala, a mobile-only productivity app in India. The application will be available for 2G networks to enable connectivity in remote locations and offered features with offline support. A ‘Pro’ version for Rs 130 per user per month would be made available by Microsoft and a basic version would be free for Android and iOS users.
Reports suggest the Chinese internet conglomerate is in talks to invest $400 million in the Bangalore based cab aggregator Ola. The Tencent investment will help Ola raise over $800 million in fresh total funding, which will push Ola’s valuation to over $4 billion, according to the report.
Axis Bank has signed a deal with Jaspers Infotech Private Limited which runs Snapdeal to buy 100 percent stake in Freecharge which is a payments subsidiary of Snapdeal. The deal is worth Rs 385 crore. Before the acquisition by Snapdeal, Freecharge had raised close to USD 116 million as reported by moneycontrol.com.
