According to the latest WHO World Cancer Report, Cancer is the second biggest killer after heart disease in India and indicates there are 7 lakh new cancer cases reported per year, killing over 3.5 lakh people every year. With the sole aim to inform people about the harmful effects of consuming poisonous vegetables and encouraging them to promote organic farming, Popkon Creatives, a creative advertisement boutique in Kochi has come up with brilliant ad campaign for Malabar Gold Deshabhimani that conveys this social message.

The advertisements created by Popkon team for Malabar Gold Deshabhimani CSR Campaign has received accolades for its unique approach to reach out to the public. With striking tagline “We reap what we sow,” the illustrations used in the ads clearly depict the use of pesticides in the vegetables and fruits sold in the market. The vegetables used in the advertisements have been transformed into eerie creatures like snake gourd is represented as a snake, bush beans as worms, bitter gourd as a rat, onion as a spider and eggplant as bug. Carrying out the importance of ensuring ‘food safety,’ the creative concept visualized by Popkon has etched in the minds of the public in a clear and effective way.

Popkon started in January, 2016 is the brainchild of three visualizers who dreamt of setting up their own firm one day. They are Jaison Caramel Antony, Ratheesh Salty Menon and Sanil Cheesy Augustine. With over 15 years of experience, Sanil enhances the flavor and adds to the Popkon bucket with his exceptional visualizing power and out of the box creative designs for advertisements.
