AI the new favourite for Google Launchpad Accelerator

6 startups from India selected for Google Launchpad Accelerator’s 4th batch and AI is the common link between them

Google Launchpad Accelerator selects tech startups from across the world and these companies will get to work closely with Google for 6-months. They get equity-free support, access to Google engineers, resources, mentors as well as two weeks of all expense paid training at the Google headquarters in California.

A total of 33 startups from across the world were selected for its 4th batch including 6 from India. And the common link between all these 6 startups was that they all had diverse applications of Artificial Intelligence. We wanted to take a brief look at these startups.

EdGE Networks – is an artificial intelligence powered HR solutions provider. It helps companies with talent acquisition as well as managing the workforce.

FastFilmz – is a movie app focussed on South Indian movies. It has movies from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and adds new movies every week. Premium users can download unlimited HD movies.

IndiaLends – a fintech startup, is a credit underwriting and analytics platform for unsecured consumer lending. It uses artificial intelligence for credit rating, loan eligibility and so on.

RailYatri – is a platform that uses crowd-sourced content to help long distance travellers. It uses AI technology for smart predictions to help travellers plan their travel.

RecipeBook – is an intelligent cooking app that is powered by deep learning computer vision. The app features delicacies from different parts of the world and uses AI to tailor the recipes according to tastes and preferences of the users.

SigTuple – is a smart healthcare screening solutions and is an AI pathologist. It uses computer vision and other artificial intelligence tech to spot parasites and arrive at the diagnosis and it does so by automating the process for more consistent and faster results.
