WhatsApp may launch ‘Recall’ feature

There is a possibility to ‘recall’ or ‘unsend’ messages that you have sent on WhatsApp and everyone is anxious for the feature’s arrival

It’s happened to the best of us – sending a message we regret, typos in an important message and what not. To date, the only thing you could do was delete the message from your own device so you don’t have to be reminded of the embarrassment. Things may change however.

You may now get a 5-minute window to recall messages. According to a fan site that tests new WhatsApp features, the message platform is moving closer to introducing a ‘Recall’ feature. With this you’ll be able to ‘unsend’ texts, images, video, GIFS, documents and even status replies. The catch here is that this applies only within a five-minute window. And this ability to recall the message works only when the recipient hasn’t seen the text.

Everyone is obviously anxious for this feature to roll out, because let’s face it, it would save us a lot of embarrassment. This feature may appear in the new version of the app. The dates as to when this update will come out however, has not come out.
