Aster to set up children’s hospital in Kochi

Aster DM Healthcare will be soon launching two hospital projects in Kerala located in Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram. Addressing the media, Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare officially made the announcement during a press meet held in Kochi.
Aster DM Healthcare is also looking forward to set up a Children’s Hospital in Kochi. Aster MIMS at Kannur and Aster Capital at Thiruvananthapuram are in different stages of construction and planning. The proposal for the new 150 bed Aster Children’s Hospital in Kochi is in planning and conceptualization stage and will be located within the Aster Medcity campus.
Speaking during the event, Dr Harish Pillai, Cluster Head for Kerala & CEO Aster Medcity said, ” Aster DM Healthcare is a home grown entity that is fully committed to the State of Kerala and the announcement of these projects shows our constant endeavor to improve healthcare services for the community.”
The project work on the 200 bed multi-specialty Aster MIMS at Chala, Kannur is underway and is expected to be ready for launch by 2018.
