Tedious work, hectic schedule, presentations and deadlines these are the daily jargons that exhaust people. Everyone longs to enjoy a peaceful day where one can spend quality time to their heart’s content. In order to come up with the perfect hangout for people juggling with work and family life, seven youngsters from Kochi united to develop a mesmerizing ‘LaLa land’ named ‘Will on Woods-WOW.’
Situated amidst the beautiful Nilgiri hills at Kotagiri, Will on Woods is an experiential learning academy that is determined to change the perceptions of outbound training. Unlike usual corporate training classes, Will on Woods gives people a unique learning experience linked to nature. Sprawling across 9 acres of land, the academy provides its visitors training workshops, lessons on etiquette and personality development programs.
The whole concept was ideated, visualised and formulated by a group of energetic youngsters–Vaisakh Sunil, Paul Nithin, ArunKurien, Sharat Mohan, Adorn Kuriachan, ThejaswithaThayyil, Nirmal Jose and JithinValavath.
“Once the idea of setting up a skill learning academy struck our minds, the biggest challenge was to find a place which could be converted into an experiential training academy. We needed a lot of space to conduct outdoor activities like trekking, off-road driving, paintball, archery, cycling, football etc. Fortunately, we found one, pitched in money, bought the land and worked really hard to transform the land into a thrilling activity spot. ” said Vaisakh.
Will on Woods is open for school or college students and corporate professionals. Providing a flexible three-day package for participants, about 65 individuals from a team can enrol in the experiential learning program conducted here. Wow follows Red Dot training module headed by Mahesh Nazare. Incorporating learning with outdoor games and fun, the training programs helps inculcate leadership skills in people. “The training workshops are customized as per the needs of the visitors. We bring trained professionals from the team’s respective field to conduct workshops,” added Vaisakh Sunil.
An amphitheatre, dining space, rooms, meditation space, well-equipped restrooms, bonfire areas and library are the other facilities available at Will on Woods. A night out in small tents is another exciting part of the learning program.
The founders believe that their brain child ‘WOW’ will be the perfect solution to rejuvenate oneself from the mad rush of city life.
